Sylvia attended University of Calgary and Foothills College graduating with both a degree in Religion and Psychology. She holds a certificate in Applied Counselling from Kelowna College of Professional Counselling. She has also completed a certificate in Indigenous Cultural Safety through the BC Provincial Health Services Authority.
Interests & Specialties
Sylvia specializes in working with individuals and couple’s dealing with issues related to marriage, parenting, loss and grieving, addictions, trauma, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, crisis of faith, or just needing some support on their life journey. She has a particular passion for working with individuals who are embarking on a mental health journey or who are struggling with the difficulties of growth and transition as a result of change, whether the change is a choice or imposed by another. Sylvia has over 20 years of experience working in professional and lay ministry settings and has been enjoying life in Sicamous for the past 3 years.
